Aatif Parkar is a dentist with a special interest in endodontics. Aatif loves working at Surbiton Dental because it’s a friendly and supportive environment where quality of care is always the main priority.

Patients often ask Aatif if root canal treatment is painful. The answer? Not at all! In fact, Aatif takes pride in providing pain-free treatments that achieve excellent results.

He grew up and went to school in North-West London and went on to study at the Queen Mary’s University of London, followed by the Eastman Dental Institute at UCL. He has worked alongside many at the top of the dental profession, who have inspired him to always strive for excellence.

He is inspired by the footballer Andres Iniesta – someone who never gives up, no matter how tough things get. Aatif would love to learn to play the drums one day; he finds their rhythmical patterns truly mesmerising.

Patience, honesty and compassion are the three traits that define him. He is passionate about being a master of his craft, and he loves spending time with his family. His favourite quote from Anthony Bourdain is: “If I’m an advocate for anything, it’s to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. Walk in someone else’s shoes or at least eat their food. It’s a plus for everybody.”

His family tradition is family games night – they play Malaysian Rummy until the early hours of the morning! If he could visit anywhere in the world, he would go to Buenos Aires in Argentina.
